Background of Project
The Client was a major eCommerce Retailer of Paper Products like wall papers, greeting cards etc. It has been selling these products through multiple channels including an online shop. All the shipments of the products are done using ShipStation Application and the central inventory of the products was maintained on SAP B1.
The client was facing major challenge in ensuring smooth shipment and real time update of the inventory as there were number of manual steps being taken to update shipment status in SAP B1 so that clients could track the order. It was also acting as a handicap to generate meaningful and accurate management information for enterprise resource planning. The manual intervention was leading to delays and unwarranted errors in shipments.
Solution Description
NetEdge proposed to integrate shipment system with SAP B1 using Jitterbit Harmony Platform. The platform was totally hosted in Cloud and provided real time integration thereby allowing real time updating Delivery Note, Invoice and Accounts in SAP B1 whenever a shipment was done using Shipstation. This made the operations smooth and simpler as the latest information was reflected in a few minutes in SAP B1 processes. This helped the client in cutting the delays and reducing the error in shipment.

NetEdge team got involved with Client team in studying the existing system. Based on the study, the team suggested to integrate the systems in real time so that every time an order is shipped it reflects in SAP B1.
